Our desire to expand into the North East has always been strong and in 2003 we committed to the region by establishing a regional office. Initially staffed by just three people, it was through hard work and determination we secured work with some key clients in the region. As a result, in 2005, we invested more than £1million into the construction of a new purpose built office in Meadowfield, on the outskirts of Durham, now employing over 60 employees.

During our growth we have kept with our desire to employ local people and not just relocate people from outside of the area. At times, this approach has been difficult. Although we recruited very talented and experienced personnel, since we were new to the area, many of the teams created were made up of people with no previous JN Bentley experience.

However, over the last few years we have seen the development of a very committed workforce with pride in the company they work for and the projects they work on.
