Renewable EnergyJN Bentley’s move into renewable energy, particularly the hydropower market, was a natural progression from the expertise gained over many years with the Environment Agency, water sector clients, and from other environmental projects too.
JN Bentley is proud to be a member of the British Hydropower Association, and we’re privileged to work with prestigious hydropower clients such as Northumbrian Water, British Waterways, The Small Hydro Company and RWE npower renewables. We have also established some important supply chain relationships in the renewable energy market to help us deliver our hydropower schemes, including collaborative working agreements with the likes of Spaans Babcock and Zeropex. Our growing knowledge and expertise as a developer and design-and-construct contractor in the renewable energy and hydropower sector has seen the establishment of a specialist Hydropower Team.
Having a dedicated Hydropower Team means we are in a position to advise clients on the best installation for their site to get the best financial returns, using the most appropriate technology for each individual site. Our capability in the sector also means we are in a position to advise on planning, costs and environmental issues too, all of which are issues that can arise when developing a renewable energy scheme.
