Considerate ConstructorsWe registered 19 of our sites with the Considerate Constructors Scheme during 2009, reflecting a continued commitment to manage all aspects of our work which impact on the local community. Considerate Constructors Scheme assessments look at eight categories, each with a maximum score of 5 for examped of exceptional practice which truly go above and beyond. In 2008 we saw a marked improvement in all but one category (Neighbour) and we have worked hard to address this. Several of our sites now have dedicated Community Liaison Officers whose role it is to support residents and local business people impacted by construction activity in their neighbourhoods. In 2009, two of our sites received our highest ever score of 36, after achieving scores of 4.5 out of 5 in every single category. In 2010, we need to maintain our overall trend of improving scores and make sure that we address any concerns relating to our impact on the environment.
