Apprentices

Since 2000, we have run a successful apprenticeship scheme, taking between 12 and 15 school leavers each year and providing them with training and on-site experience to gain an NVQ level 2.

Towards the end of 2006 we reviewed our apprenticeship scheme and decided to develop our own bespoke training package to focus more on the skills that are most valuable to us.

As a result we developed our 'Futures Programme' which involves providing our apprentices with practical training, delivered in week-long blocks, together with on-site training and assessment (OSAT) to gain an NVQ qualification in General Construction Operations.

Since the start of the programme, we have taken on a number of new apprentices and we're currently investing in their ongoing training and development.  Our programme is currently running at full capacity and there are no plans at present to recruit new apprentices in 2008.
