It’s all in the pipeline with Anglian Water

24/06/2010

Anglian Water Services has now confirmed the renewal of the Special Projects framework contracts for AMP5 and has recently released a press statement announcing:

Contractors GTM, JN Bentley, Carillion and Black & Veatch, together with consultants Mott MacDonald, will be supporting Anglian Water to deliver its AMP 5 Special Projects programme of work. This includes new water treatment works, large diameter pipelines, and new sludge treatment centres.

Anglian Water’s Director of Asset Management, Chris Newsome said, ”I am pleased to announce that we have renewed the Special Projects frameworks, and look forward to working with our partners to deliver our AMP5 Business Plan.”

JN Bentley is delighted to be part of the Special Projects Team once again in a 5-year partnership worth around £200m.  Significant programmes of work are likely to include a further two pipeline projects from 2012 onwards.

To add icing to the cake, Anglian Water recently picked up two prestigious awards for the Wing Programme (which includes our pipeline project) at the Water Industry Achievement Awards in Birmingham.

The awards won, judged by a panel of water industry experts, were the Partnership Initiative of the Year and the 2010 Award for Outstanding Innovation, which was sponsored by Ofwat.  Both are fantastic achievements for the Wing Team which comprised Anglian Water Services, Mott MacDonald, Galliford Try Imtech and Carillion as well as JN Bentley.

The success in the awards, and the ongoing relationship between JN Bentley and Anglian Water is testament to the significant efforts and hard work of everyone involved in the Wing project.
