MMB employees and friends take the WaterAid Munro Challenge

24/06/2010

A group of MMB employees, subcontractors and friends have scaled new heights to raise funds for WaterAid, the global clean water and sanitation charity.

The 2010 Munro Challenge, which aims to put a team on the top of each of Scotland's munros and all the mountains over 3,000 feet in England, Wales and Ireland, took place between 12 noon and 2pm on Saturday 12 June 2010.

The MMB team tackled a steep ascent, climbing from 200ft to 3263ft to conquer Beinn Eunaich munro in Argyllshire, Scotland.  The view from the top was stunning, with high altitude snowfall visible, made all the better by the knowledge they’d made a fantastic contribution towards the overall challenge target to raise over £300,000 for WaterAid’s work!
Water is essential for life, yet 1.1 billion people in the world do not have access to safe water. WaterAid uses practical solutions to provide clean water, safe sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.
